this evening...

The National Weather Service in Miami has issued a Wind
Advisory... which is in effect from 8 am this morning to 7 PM EST
this evening.

Sustained east winds of around 25 mph with gusts of 35 to 40 mph
are expected across Palm Beach... Broward... and Miami-Dade counties
from 8 am this morning through 7 PM this evening. Sustained winds
of around 30 mph are even possible along the immediate coast.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of 30 mph or higher or
frequent gusts of 35 mph or higher are expected. Winds this strong
can make driving difficult... especially for high profile vehicles.
Use extra caution. Make sure to secure loose objects as they can
be blown around by winds this strong.

Wind Advisory in effect... widely scattered showers will continue to move inland off of the Atlantic Ocean and affect the eastern portion of Mainland South Florida through 8 PM EST. This activity will be most concentrated across the region along and north of Tamiami Trail in Miami-Dade County...and along and south of Highway 98 in Palm Beach County. Wind gusts from 35 to 40 mph...and very brief downpours... resulting in rainfall amounts of a couple hundredths of an inch...can be expected with the strongest showers. All shower activity will move westward around 30 mph.
