and is now the subject of a tropical cyclone formation alert. See

2. South Indian Ocean area (135e west to coast of Africa):
a. Tropical cyclone summary: none.
B. Tropical disturbance summary:
(1) the area of convection previously located near 4.0s 73.1e,
approximately 200 nm north-northeast of Diego Garcia, has weakened.
The potential for development of a significant tropical cyclone
