Widespread rain showers will continue to move across southern Wisconsin this afternoon. The showers are heading to the north at about 35 mph. The bulk of the rain is found across areas of southwest and south central Wisconsin. As we head throughout the afternoon...the whole system will shift eastward and areas closer to Lake Michigan will see rain begin. Generally...the rain will be light...but pockets of moderate rain can be expected at times. The rainfall rates should vary between a few hundredths to a couple tenths of an inch per hour. By the time the rain diminishes late tonight...total accumulations should generally be in the half inch range.
