Forecast as of 7:25 PM CDT on October 12, 2008

Now
regional weather discussion... at 725 PM...regional radar imagery indicated two large areas of precipitation. The first area was located over northern parts of the Texas Panhandle and extended northward into western and central Kansas. The second area of rain was associated with the remnants of Hurricane Norbert...and was located to the west of Lubbock. As this area of moisture lifts northeast this evening...rain chances across the western third of Oklahoma and western North Texas will increase. Through mid evening the best chance for scattered showers and a few thunderstorms will be west of a line from Alva to Oakwood to Hobart and Quanah Texas. More widespread precipitation may move into far western Oklahoma after 9 PM.
