* at 1056 PM EDT Weather Service Doppler radar indicated showers and
thunderstorms across much of southwest New Hampshire as well as
western Massachusetts and northern Connecticut. These showers and
thunderstorms have a history of producing rainfall of up to an inch
and a half in less than an hour. This much rainfall has caused some
urban flooding and flooding of streets across the region. These
showers and thunderstorms will continue to affect the region for the
next three hours.

Never drive into areas where water covers the roadway. Flood waters
are usually deeper than they appear. When encountering flooding roads
make the smart choice... turn around... dont drown.

Heavy rain will cause ponding of water on highways... roads and
underpasses as well as other poor drainage areas. Rises will occur on
creeks and small streams and may result in minor flooding of low
lying areas along their banks.
