Dense Fog Advisory
Statement as of 5:32 am CDT on July 9, 2008

... Dense fog advisory remains in effect until 9 am CDT this
morning...

A dense fog advisory remains in effect until 9 am CDT this
morning.

Recent rainfall along with light winds and clear skies have
allowed dense fog to form across much of the advisory area. Visibilities
may be reduced under one quarter of a mile at times this morning... leading
to potentially hazardous driving conditions for the morning commute.
Motorists should be prepared for rapidly changing visibilities. Fog
will slowly begin to diminish and visibilities will begin to improve
after daybreak.

A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving... slow down...
use your low beam headlights... and leave plenty of distance ahead
of you.

Forecast as of 2:50 am CDT on July 9, 2008

Now
Clear skies and saturated grounds will continue to create patchy dense fog across portions of eastern Kansas and northern Missouri through daybreak. Visibilities may be reduced below one half mile at times...with thicker fog possible in valleys and near water sources. Fog is expected to lift shortly after daybreak. Those traveling this morning should exercise additional caution.
