Now Patchy dense fog will cover portions of extreme northeast Washington and north Idaho through 9 am. The fog will result in pockets of visibilities of a quarter mile or less. Even more problematic to morning travel will be icy stretchs along area roadways. Rainfall from yesterday...combined with sub-freezing temperatures...early this morning will result in slick roadways. Most of the ice will occur on lesser travelled roads as well as on bridge decks and overpasses. Road temperatures will generally rise above freezing after 9 am. |
