Wind Advisory
Statement as of 6:07 am PDT on October 7, 2008

... Wind Advisory remains in effect from 9 am this morning to 5 PM
PDT this afternoon...

A Wind Advisory remains in effect from 9 am this morning to 5 PM
PDT this afternoon.

Sustained west winds of 25 to 30 mph will develop this morning
over much of central and eastern Washington. By midday... wind
gusts of 40 mph will be likely from Wenatchee... to Moses
Lake... Pullman and Spokane. The windiest location will likely be
over the higher elevations of the Waterville Plateau. Elevations
above 2500 feet in the Mansfield and Waterville areas could have
wind gusts in excess of 45 mph. Wind gusts to 50 mph will be
likely in the mountains... especially on exposed ridges.

A Wind Advisory means that winds of 30 to 40 mph are expected.
Winds this strong can make driving difficult... especially for
high profile vehicles. Take action to secure trash cans... lawn
furniture... and other loose or lightweight outdoor objects.
