Areas of light to moderate rain will continue to move across the Piedmont of the mid Atlantic through the late night hours. Embedded areas of heavier rainfall will continue across northern areas of the Washington DC metropolitan area...and across the northern Chesapeake Bay region. Much of this activity will continue to drift northeast...across the Interstate 95 corridor into the early morning hours. Much of this area will receive an additional quarter to half an inch of rainfall...with locally higher amounts...through 2 am.
