The National Weather Service in Lake Charles has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
south central Hardin County in southeast Texas...
this includes the city of Sour Lake...
northwestern Jefferson County in southeast Texas...
this includes the city of Nome...

* until 530 PM CDT

* at 215 PM CDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated
that from one to four inches of rain has fallen across northern
Jefferson and southern Hardin counties... generally north of Fannett
to Nederland line. Very heavy rains continue to develop over central
Jefferson County and move north across the warned area.

* Locations in the warning include but are not limited to Bevil Oaks

Additional rainfall amounts of from 2 to 4 inches are possible in
the warned area.

A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
If you are in the warning area move to higher ground immediately.
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property. Do not attempt to cross
swiftly flowing waters or waters of unknown depth by foot or by
automobile.
