The National Weather Service in Austin San Antonio has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
Bexar County...
Comal County...

* until 645 PM CDT.

* At 339 PM CDT... National Weather Service radar showed a
continuation of heavy rain across Bexar and Comal counties.
These showers and thunderstorms will continue the next
1 to 2 hours... moving northwest at 20 to 25 mph.

* Locations in the warning area include Windcrest... Universal City...
timberwood park... the dominion... Terrell Hills... Spring Branch...
Smithson Valley... Shavano Park... sea world... Schertz...
San Antonio... Olmos Park... New Braunfels... Live Oak...
Leon Valley... Leon Springs... Kirby... Hollywood Park... Hill Country
Village... Helotes... Guadalupe River State Park... Garden
Ridge... Fischer... Fair Oaks Ranch... Cross Mountain... Canyon lake
dam... Bulverde and Alamo Heights.

Showers and thunderstorms will move from the southeast to the
northwest... with a continuation of periods of heavy rain. This
will cause flooding at low water crossings... on low lying roads and
highways... and in low lying areas. Additional rainfall amounts of
1 to 2 inches in a short period of time is likely with these showers
and thunderstorms... after locally heavy rains earlier today.

Wind gusts of 30 to 35 mph and occasional lightning will accompany
the thunderstorms.

Motorists should exercise caution in and near low water
crossings and in low lying areas that are subject to flooding.

When water covers the Road... turn around don't drown. The life you
save may be your own.

Tornado Watch 744 in effect until 6 PM CDT this afternoon... Through 6 PM...scattered to numerous showers and isolated thunderstorms will continue to move northwest around 25 mph. Expect some heavy rains..low visibilities and wind gusts to 40 mph in some of the heavier showers and thunderstorms. Most areas will receive from an additional tenth to a quarter inch of rainfall but 1 to 2 inch rain amounts are possible in the heavier showers and storms.
