Additional showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop across North Texas through the late afternoon hours into tonight. Severe thunderstorms could continue through the overnight hours. Some of these storms will produce damaging winds and hail. Heavy rainfall and frequent lightning also will occur with the storms. A tornado or two are also possible.
