... Flash Flood Watch in effect from noon CDT today through Friday
morning...

The National Weather Service in Austin/San Antonio has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for a portion of south central Texas...
including the following counties... Dimmit... Maverick and
Zavala.

* From noon CDT today through Friday morning

* rain from weakening Tropical Storm Dolly will spread across the
middle Rio Grande plains this morning. The initial rains will be
a welcome sight. However, with the rains continuing through tonight,
the ground will become saturated and flash flooding will be
likely.


A Flash Flood Watch means flash flooding is possible in or near
the watch area. If you are in the watch area... plan now for what
you will do if flash flooding develops. Stay informed and be
ready to act if you see flooding or if a Flash Flood Warning is
issued.

Tornado Watch 744 in effect until 6 PM CDT this afternoon... The outermost rain bands from Tropical Storm Dolly will push into south central Texas through this morning and into this afternoon. Wind gusts to near 40 mph can be expected with the strongest of these storms. Rainfall will be spotty...with most areas receiving one quarter to one half of an inch of new rainfall by 11 am. However... higher amounts of near one inch are possible.
