The National Weather Service in Austin San Antonio has issued an

* urban and small stream flood advisory for...
Bandera County...
Blanco County...
Gillespie County...
Hays County...
Kendall County...
Kerr County...
Medina County...
Real County...

* until 630 PM CDT.

* At 327 PM CDT radar showed an area of heavy rain continuing
across the area... with showers and thunderstorms moving to
the northwest and west at 20 to 25 mph.

Showers and thunderstorms continue to develop from San Marcos
and extending west to Johnson City... Fredericksburg... Kerrville...
Bandera... and Leakey.

These showers and thunderstorms will continue the next few
hours... bringing periods of heavy rain. This will cause some
flooding at low water crossings... on low lying roads and
highways... and in low lying areas. Rainfall amounts of 1 to 2
inches in a short period of time is likely with these showers and
thunderstorms.

In addition... wind gusts of 30 to 35 mph and occasional lightning
will accompany the thunderstorms.

When water covers the Road... turn around don't drown. The life you
save may be your own.

Tornado Watch 744 in effect until 6 PM CDT this afternoon... Through 6 PM...outer rain bands from the tropical depression have weakened in intensity late this afternoon. The bands will continue to move west northwest around the center of the depression across south central Texas including much of the Texas Hill country and portions of the Edwards Plateau over the next several hours. Expect some heavy rains..low visibilities and wind gusts to 40 mph in some of the heavier shower and thunderstorm bands. Most areas will receive from an additional tenth to a quarter inch of rainfall but 1 to 2 inch rain amounts are possible in the heavier showers and storms. Also keep in mind some of these storms can produce brief tornadoes.
