Statement as of 5:08 am CST on November 9, 2009

... Coastal Flood Warning remains in effect until noon CST today...

A coastal Flood Warning remains in effect until noon CST today.

.Northeast winds will prevail today in response to low pressure over
the Gulf of Mexico and high pressure over the middle Tennessee Valley.
Swells will propagate toward the Upper Texas coast this morning which
will help to maintain elevated tide levels. The swells will decrease
during the late morning and tide levels on the Gulf side will slowly
diminish.

High tide occurred earlier this morning and tide levels will continue
to slowly drop during the day. The main impacts will be beach flooding
and minor flooding of low lying coastal roads.
