The Flood Warning continues for the Guadalupe River near Bloomington. * Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled. * At 9:00 PM Tuesday the stage was 19.0 feet. * Minor flooding is forecast. * Flood stage is 20.0 feet. * Forecast... rise above flood stage by early tomorrow afternoon and continue to rise to near 21.3 feet by early Friday morning.
* At 20.0 feet minor lowland flooding occurs... with the flow reaching the right flood plain near the invista plant near Bloomington. Downstream above Highway 35... the flow escapes into the left flood plain cutting off the lowest homes.

A surge of colder air will arrive in south Texas on Friday as an upper level disturbance moves out of the southern rockies into central Texas. Areas of light rain will develop over south Texas early Friday morning. The airmass is expected to become sufficiently cold enough through a deep layer of the atmosphere by the afternoon that a mixture of rain or snow or a change over to snow will be possible over the northern counties of south Texas... roughly near and north of Highway 59. Daytime highs are expected to occur early in the day with temperatures falling into the mid 30s over the northern brush country to the Victoria Crossroads in the afternoon. The upper level disturbance will move east of the area by Friday night with skies clearing. Freezing temperatures are expected over most of south Texas except the immediate coastline Saturday morning.
