The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of northeast Georgia... western North Carolina and
upstate South Carolina... including the following areas... in
northeast Georgia... Franklin... Habersham... Hart... Rabun and
Stephens. In western North Carolina... Henderson... Macon... Polk
mountains... southern Jackson and Transylvania. In upstate
South Carolina... Anderson... greater Oconee... greater Pickens...
Greenville mountains... Oconee mountains and Pickens mountains.

* From Tuesday morning through Wednesday morning

* as the remnants of tropical cyclone Ida move in from the
southwest... rain will overspread across the region. Periods of
heavy rainfall are expected Tuesday into Tuesday evening.

* Periods of moderate to heavy rain will result in areas of
significant runoff across the watch area. Flooding of small
creeks... streams and low lying areas will be possible. Urban
areas could also see flooding in areas with poor drainage. Total
rainfall from 2 to 5 inches is possible.

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
