Coastal Flood Warning Statement as of 3:34 PM EDT on May 11, 2008

... Coastal Flood Warning in effect from midnight tonight to 8 am
EDT Tuesday...

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a coastal
Flood Warning... which is in effect from midnight tonight to 8 am
EDT Tuesday.

The tide will build up the Delaware Bay and Delaware River tonight
and continue getting higher over the next two days. This... combined
with a couple inches of rain running off into the tributaries of
the Delaware... will cause street flooding on either side of the
Delaware in Pennsylvania... New Jersey and Delaware. The tidal
level alone will reach minor and there is a good chance it could
reach moderate levels over the next 24 to 36 hours at the times of
high tide.

This will impact the peak times for commuting Monday morning and
again Monday evening. Please do not park your car in the vulnerable
flood areas adjacent to the Delaware River and never drive through
flooded streets.

The following are times of high tide and water level forecasts,
referenced to mean lower low water, for points along the Delaware
river:

For Philadelphia... high tide is at 8:22 am Monday morning and is
forecast to be 8.0 feet above MLLW. High tide is again at 9:06 PM
Monday evening and is forecast at 8.0 to 8.5 feet above MLLW. High
tide Tuesday morning occurs at 9:23 am and is forecast at around
8.0 feet above MLLW.

For Breakwater Harbor Delaware... high tide is at 3:52 PM Monday
afternoon with a forecast near 6.50 feet above MLLW. High tide is
again at 4:13 am Tuesday morning with a forecast at 6.5 to 7.0
feet above MLLW and 4:56 PM Tuesday with a forecast at 6.5 feet
above MLLW.

A coastal Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent. Persons
living along the Delaware River adjacent to tributaries and roadways
should be alert for rising water... and take appropriate action to
protect life and property.

The flooding that is expected is primarily from the tidal effects
on the Delaware River. Heavy rain is expected and if it coincides
with the times of high tide will exacerbate the street flooding.

Areal Flood Watch Statement as of 9:38 PM EDT on May 11, 2008

... Flood Watch remains in effect through Monday afternoon...

The Flood Watch continues for

* portions of northern Delaware, northeast Maryland and southeast
Pennsylvania, including the following areas, in northern
Delaware, New Castle. In northeast Maryland, Cecil. In southeast
Pennsylvania, Chester, Delaware and Philadelphia.

* Through Monday afternoon.

* Rain overnight will be heavy at times and continue through about
midday Monday, then begin to taper off late in the afternoon. A
total of 1.0 to 2.0 inches of rain is expected with the
potential for locally higher amounts. An isolated thunderstorm
or two cannot be ruled out overnight, which could locally
enhance the rainfall. Due to the rainfall over the area late
last week, some of the more vulnerable streams and creeks in the
watch area would begin to flood if an excess of 1.5 inches of
rain falls. In addition, flooding of poor drainage areas and
some roadways is possible.

A Flood Watch means that conditions are favorable for heavy rain
across the watch area, which may lead to flooding along streams
and creeks. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop or if a Flood
Warning is issued.
