Areal Flood Advisory
Statement as of 9:03 am CST on November 9, 2009

The National Weather Service in Norman has issued a

* small stream Flood Advisory for...
northeastern Woodward County in northwest Oklahoma...

* until 100 PM CST

* at 856 am CST... radar indicated that at least 3 to 4 inches of
rain has fallen across portions of northeast Woodward County this
morning. Some of the heaviest rainfall amounts have occurred between
Quinlan and the Alabaster Caverns State Park... including along
chimney creek. Heavy rainfall was also indicated to have fallen from
Quinlan to near Mooreland. Public reports of ponding of water have
also been received. Showers and thunderstorms in the area will
continue to produce moderate to occasionally heavy rainfall in these
areas.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause elevated levels on
small creeks and streams... and ponding of water on country roads and
farmland along the banks of creeks and streams.

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross
safely. Move to higher ground.
