Now regional weather discussion.. showers and thunderstorms will continue through 5 am across northern Oklahoma. Heavier and more widespread showers will track east from around Fairview east to near Enid and Perry. Hourly rainfall rates of up to an inch will be common... and local rates up to 2 inches per hour will be possible. Rainfall totals of 3 inches or more will be possible by daybreak in these areas... which may lead to flooding of low-lying and poor-drainage areas. In western North Texas and southwestern Oklahoma... isolated light showers will be confined to areas west of Seymour and Vernon in Texas... and west of Altus and Cordell in Oklahoma. Other showers may develop by 5 am over west central and central Oklahoma... mainly near and north of Interstate 40. |
