The heat advisory is now in effect until 9 PM CDT Saturday.

Afternoon high temperatures should climb to around 105 or even
slightly above on Friday and Saturday. Afternoon heat index values
will reach 105 to 110 both days. Early morning temperatures will
only fall into the mid to upper 70s.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A heat advisory means that a period of hot temperatures is
expected. Hot temperatures and high humidity will combine to
create a situation in which heat illnesses are possible. Drink
