Now regional weather discussion... showers and isolated thunderstorms will move across parts of north central Oklahoma through 2 PM. At 1245 PM... scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms continued to develop and move east across parts of north central Oklahoma. The rain will affect locations mainly northeast of a line from Cherokee... to Hennessey north of Kingfisher... to Stillwater Oklahoma through 2 PM. Cloud to ground lightning and heavy downpours will be the impacts with any thunderstorm. Otherwise... light to moderate rain will occur. The showers and storms will continue to move east across the area early this afternoon. Meanwhile... a cold front extended from near Goodwell in the Oklahoma Panhandle... to near Dumas in the Texas Panhandle. An outflow boundary extended from the cold front eastward across northern and central Oklahoma... from near Woodward and Taloga... to near El Reno and Chandler Oklahoma. Additional showers and thunderstorms will develop this afternoon near these boundaries in the Texas Panhandle and affect parts of Oklahoma this afternoon into tonight. Some of the storms in western Oklahoma may become severe late this afternoon and this evening. |
