... Heat advisory in effect until 10 PM CDT Sunday...

The National Weather Service in Norman has issued a heat
advisory... which is in effect until 10 PM CDT Sunday.

Through Sunday... high temperatures will remain consistent in the
upper 90s to around 105. Most temperatures will only fall into the
middle and upper 70s at night. The duration of the current heat
wave... will increase the risk for heat related illness. If the
weather pattern does not change... the heat advisory will likely be
extended in time.

A heat advisory means that warm nights and very hot days will
increase the risk for heat related illness... with the effects
growing each day. Drink plenty of fluids... stay in air
conditioned rooms... stay out of the sun... and check on relatives
and neighbors. Also... be sure pets have plenty of fresh water and
a source of shade.
