Now regional weather discussion... at 145 PM... a low pressure was located in the central Oklahoma Panhandle. A cold front extended from the low near Goodwell in the Oklahoma Panhandle... to near Borger and Amarillo in the Texas Panhandle. An outflow boundary also extended from the low pressure eastward across northern and central Oklahoma... from near Woodward and Taloga... to near El Reno and Chandler Oklahoma. Area radars showed showers beginning to develop in the eastern Texas Panhandle near Canadian. This area is beginning to become moderately unstable. Additional thunderstorms are expected to develop this afternoon near and south of the front and outflow boundary across the Texas Panhandle into parts of Oklahoma. Some of the storms may become severe... mainly producing large hail and strong winds. Meanwhile... scattered showers continue to move east across north central Oklahoma producing light to moderate rain. The most likely areas to be affected through 3 PM will be northeast of a line from Stillwater to Medford. |
