| Now regional weather discussion... patchy dense fog will be seen over portions of the region near and ahead of a cold front. At 6 am...the front continued a slow eastward progression and extended from near Muskogee...near Coalgate and Madill. The dense fog...reducing visibilities to less than one-half mile at times...will affect far southeast portions of Oklahoma... from around Madill and Lake Texoma...over toward Atoka and Durant. Once the front passes those locations...an increasing northerly wind and drier air will help mix and dissipate the fog. After sunrise...we will see the northerly winds increase into the 20 to 30 mph range. Over locations that will see more sun and deeper mixing into the atmosphere...some higher gusts are likely before noon. This effect will be most pronounced across western North Texas and the western Oklahoma. |
