The combination of strong east to northeast winds and high astronomical tides are expected to cause tidal piling... while long period easterly swells will prevent drainage of waters from the bays.
Minor coastal flooding is expected during the times of high tide late tonight into early Thursday morning and again Thursday afternoon due to positive tidal departures of 1 1/2 to 2 ft.
Moderate coastal flooding is possible during the times of high tide Friday morning with positive tidal departures of 2 to 2 1/2 ft expected.
In addition to coastal flooding... high and long period easterly swells will likely result in high surf and moderate beach erosion Thursday through Saturday.
