| Now Scattered to numerous showers and a few thunderstorms will continue across Lincoln County on east to the Texas line through the morning. Movement will be quickly to the northeast at 35 to 40 mph. The most numerous showers should be mainly near and east of the Pecos River through 10 am. The stronger thunderstorms will be capable of producing gusty winds between 35 and 50 mph...small hail and some lightning strikes. Stronger storms are more likely this afternoon. A few areas that will be impacted by the activity include Clovis... Portales...Ruidoso and Roswell. Through 10 am expect rainfall amounts of two tenths to a third of an inch...but locally between a half and three quarters of an inch in the thunderstorms. |
