issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for portions of south central New Mexico and
southwest Texas... including the following areas... in south
central New Mexico... Sierra County lakes region... southern
desert... southern Sacramento Mountains and Tularosa
basin/southern desert. In southwest Texas... El Paso and
Hudspeth.

* From noon MDT today through late tonight.


Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
