Coastal Flood Advisory
Statement as of 11:25 PM EDT on May 9, 2008

... Coastal flood advisory in effect until 5 am EDT Saturday...

The National Weather Service in Upton has issued a coastal flood
advisory... which is in effect until 5 am EDT Saturday.

Strong northeast winds earlier in the day resulted in tidal
departures of 1 to 1 1/2 ft above normal. This in combination with
relatively high astronomical tides will result in minor coastal
flooding around the times of high tide.

A coastal flood advisory indicates that onshore winds and tides
will combine to generate flooding of low areas along the shore.
