southeastern Belknap County in central New Hampshire...
northwestern Strafford County in central New Hampshire...
southeastern Carroll County in northern New Hampshire...

* until 530 PM EDT

* at 450 PM EDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated a
severe thunderstorm capable of producing damaging winds in
excess of 60 mph. This storm was located just east of
Barnstead... or about 8 miles north of Northwood... and moving
northeast at 40 mph.

* Some locations in the warning include but are not limited to
Farmington... Alton and Wolfeboro.

western Belknap County in central New Hampshire...
eastern Sullivan County in central New Hampshire...
Merrimack County in central New Hampshire...
Grafton County in northern New Hampshire...
southwestern Carroll County in northern New Hampshire...

* until 930 PM EDT

* at 337 PM EDT Doppler radar showed heavy showers and thunderstorms
moving north across the same area of western New Hampshire. Radar
showed rainfall estimates of 1 to 2 inches so far. Heavy showers and
thunderstorms will continue to move across western New Hampshire
through the rest of the afternoon. Rainfall may exceed an inch an
hour with total rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches possible in many
areas through the course of the afternoon.

Additional rainfall is expected into the evening hours and this
could push totals to over 4 inches in some areas.

This much rainfall will cause small streams to leave their banks.
Ponding of water on roads... especially at intersections and
underpasses will lead to localized flooding.

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross
safely. Move to higher ground.

mph. This cluster of strong thunderstorms will affect areas in and
around Northwood Meadows State Park... Pittsfield... Epsom...
Deerfield... Chichester... Strafford... Center Barnstead... Barnstead...
Alton Bay and New Durham through 515 PM EDT.

Very heavy downpours... cloud-to-ground lightning and gusty
winds of 35 to 45 mph can be expected.
