Severe Thunderstorm Watch 658 is in effect until 10 PM CDT...9 PM MDT...this evening across parts of western and north central Nebraska...the threat of severe weather has peaked and will gradually diminish this evening. Scattered to numerous thunderstorms will cluster along and north of Nebraska Highway 2 and drift east and southeast at 20 mph. Intense rainfall...large hail and high winds could develop with a few storms which approach or become severe. Farther south toward Interstate 80 and along and north of Highway 20...isolated showers and thunderstorms producing 1/4 inch or less rainfall are possible this evening. An isolated severe thunderstorm could develop in these areas.
