across the deerlodge/west Beaverhead... east Beaverhead...

A Fire Weather Watch remains in effect from Saturday afternoon
through Saturday evening.

An approaching low pressure system and associated surface cold
front will move through the district Saturday afternoon. A
tightening surface pressure gradient and mid level winds mixing
down to the surface may create sustained winds of 15-25 mph with
gusts as high as 30 mph. Dry air moving in ahead of this system
may lower relative humidities to 10 to 20 percent. These factors
combined with a Haines index of 5 will support a dangerous fire
weather situation.

A Fire Weather Watch is intended to alert land managers to
potential weather conditions that will significantly increase
fire danger.
