Final preparations to protect life and property should be
completed before conditions deteriorate. The onset of gusty winds
and heavy rains can cause outside activities to become dangerous.
Secure loose outdoor objects which can be blown around. If you
live in a Mobile home... leave it for more substantial shelter.

If you plan on using a portable generator... be sure to observe all
safety precautions to avoid Carbon monoxide poisoning... electrocution... or
fire. Be sure to operate your generator in a dry and well
ventilated area. Carbon monoxide poisoning deaths can occur due to
improperly ventilated portable generators!

as Tropical Storm Ida approaches... sustained tropical storm force
windsare expected to begin late this evening and continue into
Tuesday morning. Minor damage may occur in older Mobile home Parks.
Newly planted trees and shrubs may be uprooted if not secured
properly. Weak tree branches may snap. Residents should move
unfastened items... such as garbage cans and deck
furniture... indoors.
