Now An area of scattered showers and thunderstorms continue to push eastward across northwestern and north central Missouri at 20 mph. These thunderstorms will continue to move eastward through the evening hours...with additional thunderstorm development across southeastern Nebraska and southern Iowa expected. Frequent lightning...small hail and locally torrential rainfall will be possible. Rainfall rates around 1 inch or more per hour may produce minor flooding and ponding of water as storms move eastward. Rainfall amounts between 1 and 2 inches will be common through midnight...with locally higher totals likely in extreme northwestern Missouri. |
