Dense Fog Advisory
Statement as of 3:02 am CDT on September 5, 2008

... Dense fog advisory in effect until 10 am CDT this morning...

The National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill has issued a dense
fog advisory... which is in effect until 10 am CDT this morning.

Widespread dense fog reducing visibilities to less than a quarter of
a mile at times will affect a large part of northern... central and
west central Missouri plus adjacent eastern Kansas into mid morning.
Patchy dense fog has formed over parts of the region since midnight
with visibilities bouncing between several miles to a quarter of a
mile at times.

The fog is expected to thicken and became more dense as we head
towards daybreak with visibilities reduced to a quarter of a mile or
less. Motorists are advised to allow for extra driving time for the
morning commute to work so leaving a bit earlier is recommended.

A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be reduced
to less than one quarter mile. If driving... slow down... use your low
beam headlights... and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
