Wind Advisory
Statement as of 3:53 PM CDT on May 10, 2008

... Wind Advisory remains in effect from 10 PM this evening to
7 am CDT Sunday...

A Wind Advisory remains in effect from 10 PM this evening to 7 am
CDT Sunday.

Winds will swing around to the northwest... with the progression
of the wind shift occurring from extremely late this afternoon
through mid evening. Once the wind shifts... speeds will increase
rapidly and will average 25 to 40 mph. A few higher gusts to
around 45 mph are possible overnight tonight. It is very possible
that some of the stronger winds will reach Sioux City itself by
around 7 PM. Further east... the strong winds will likely reach
the Spencer and Storm Lake areas by around 10 PM.

A Wind Advisory is issued when sustained winds are forecast to be
31 to 39 mph or gusts will range between 46 and 57 mph. Winds of
these magnitudes may cause minor property damage without extra
precautions. Motorists in high profile vehicles should use
caution until the winds subside.
