The Flood Watch continues for

* portions of north central Maine... northern Maine and west
central Maine... including the following areas... in north
central Maine... central Piscataquis... northern Piscataquis and
southern Piscataquis. In northern Maine... Northwest Aroostook.
In west central Maine... northern Somerset.

* Through Friday evening

* 2 to 3 inches of rain are possible across the watch area into
Friday.

* Heavy rain will cause area streams and Brooks to rise and
possibly exceed their banks. No flooding is expected on larger
rivers at this time. However... even larger rivers are expected
to rise several feet.

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
