* Flood Watch for portions of north central Maine... northern
Maine and west central Maine... including the following areas...
in north central Maine... central Piscataquis... northern
Piscataquis and southern Piscataquis. In northern Maine...
Northwest Aroostook. In west central Maine... northern Somerset.

* From this evening through Friday evening

* expect up to 2 inches of rain to fall across the watch area from
tonight into Friday with locally higher amounts possible.

* Heavy rain will cause area streams and many of the smaller and
faster responding rivers to rise and possibly exceed their
banks.

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
