... Coastal flood advisory in effect until 6 am EDT Sunday...

The National Weather Service in Baltimore MD/Washington has
issued a coastal flood advisory... which is in effect until 6 am
EDT Sunday.

In the wake of Tropical Storm Hanna... water levels were
continuing to run above normal this evening. Tidal departures of
2 to 3 feet above astronomical predictions are possible during
times of high tide overnight into early Sunday morning. These
departures would likely cause minor tidal flooding.

Here are the times of the next high tides
for a few locations from north to south...
on the Chesapeake Bay...
Havre de Grace... 4:02 am and 3:36 PM...
Bowley Bar... 1:40 am and 1:14 PM...
Fort McHenry Baltimore... 12:49 am and 12:23 PM...
Annapolis U.S. Naval Academy... 11:19 PM and 10:53 am...
Solomons Island... 7:45 am and 9:05 PM...
Point Lookout... 6:55 am and 8:15 PM...

Now along the Potomac River...
Washington DC key bridge... 2:09 am and 2:54 PM...
Alexandria... 2:02 am and 2:47 PM...
Indian Head... 1:30 am and 2:15 PM...
Goose Bay... 9:36 PM and 10:21 am...
Wicomico river near Cobb Island... 5:45 am and 6:22 PM...
Leonardtown... 8:39 am and 8:49 PM...

A coastal flood advisory indicates that onshore winds and tides
will combine to generate flooding of low areas along the shore.
