Now Through 8 am...scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms will continue to develop over the coastal waters from High Island to the lower Atchafalaya River out 60 nm. Movement of the showers will be northwest at 20 mph. Some of these showers will move onshore into Jefferson County...as well as Cameron and Vermilion parishes...then weaken as they move pass Interstate 10. Moderate rainfall can be expected with the showers...with rainfall rates up to 1/2 inch per hour. Also...visibilities will be reduced to less than 3 miles in the showers. |
