The Flood Warning continues for
the Mississippi River at Red River Landing.
* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 11:00 am Monday the stage was 50.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* The flood stage is 48.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river is expected to continue rising to near 51.0 feet
by Saturday morning November 14th.
* Impact... at 51.0 feet... all river islands along The Reach from Red
River Landing to Baton Rouge will be inundated. Recreational camps
and river bottom farm land will be under water.

A Wind Advisory remains in effect from 6 PM this evening to 5 am
CST Tuesday.

Gusty northeast winds will develop across the river parishes... around
the Baton Rouge Metro area and southwest Mississippi tonight as
Tropical Storm Ida approaches the central Gulf Coast.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory means that winds of 30 mph are expected. Winds
this strong can make driving difficult... especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.

Take action to secure trash cans... lawn furniture... and other loose
or lightweight outdoor objects. High winds can topple trees... blow
weakened roofs off houses... and down power lines.
