The Flood Warning continues for the Mississippi River at Cape
Girardeau.
* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 10 am Tuesday the stage was 36.6 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and is forecast to continue.
* Flood stage is 32.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 36.7 feet by this
evening.

Light showers and very isolated thunderstorms...continue to move eastward across much of southeast Missouri...a good portion of southern Illinois...a small portion of southwest Indiana and The Purchase area of Kentucky. Most of the thunderstorm activity is located near the communities of Piedmont...Marble Hill and advance Missouri. Through 3 PM...hourly rainfall amounts will be a few hundredths of an inch...with slightly higher amounts expected near a thunderstorm. Most of the shower were dissipating as it tracks into the pennyrile area of Kentucky and far southeast Illinois.
