Winter Storm Warning
Statement as of 1:59 PM MDT on October 11, 2008

... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 12 PM MDT
Sunday...

A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 12 PM MDT Sunday.

A strong storm system moving north from southern Nevada this
evening through Sunday morning will produce heavy snow and strong
winds. Snow amounts are expected to be in the 6 to 12 inch range
with gusty winds over mountains passes causing blowing and
drifting snow with reduced visibilities. The heaviest snow is
currently forecast to end Sunday morning... but light snows may
continue through Sunday night over higher terrain along the
Wyoming border.

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of
snow are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in
an emergency. If you must travel... keep an extra flashlight...
food... and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
