areas... in south central Iowa... Appanoose... Clarke... Decatur...
Lucas... Monroe... Ringgold... Union and Wayne. In southeast
Iowa... Davis and Wapello. In southwest Iowa... Adams and Taylor.

* expect showers and thunderstorms to increase in coverage this
evening and continue overnight. Numerous rounds of precipitation
are expected with the potential for very heavy rainfall to
occur. Rainfall amounts of one and one half to three inches are
possible. These rainfall amounts over a short period of time
will cause flash flooding across the area. In
addition... numerous streams including the Des
Moines... Iowa... Cedar and south Skunk River basins are already
at elevated flow levels and could again exceed flood stage
depending on where the heaviest rains materialize.

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
