| Now Wind Advisory in effect from 1 am to 12 PM CDT Sunday... Light to moderate showers continue across the area with a band of heavier showers extending from near Denison to near Fort Dodge. Rainfall rates in the area of heavier showers is up to two tenths to one quarter inch per two hours. Over the next one to two hours...expect up to a quarter of an inch of rain at some locations. The showers are moving to the northeast at 40 mph. There were isolated thunderstorms stretching from the Bedford to Mount Ayr to Leon area. The wind remain from the east for now with winds of 10 to 20 mph and will increase during the evening hours to 15 to 25 mph. However...after midnight tonight the wind is expected to increase rapidly from the north resulting in wind gusts in excess of 45 mph at times. |
