Wind Advisory
Statement as of 3:32 am EST on November 9, 2009

... Wind Advisory now in effect until noon EST today...

The Wind Advisory is now in effect until noon EST today.

Strong east to southeast winds will continue this morning over the
Keys island chain and Atlantic coastal waters... with sustained wind
speeds of 25 to 30 mph and peak gusts of 35 to 40 mph. Wind impacts
will be strongest on bridges and unsheltered Road sections... as well
as on the exposed southern and Eastern Shores of the Keys.

Winds are expected to decrease to around 20 mph... with peak gusts of
25 to 30 mph... by this afternoon.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of 30 to 39 mph... or
frequent gusts in excess of 35 mph are expected. Winds this
strong can make driving difficult... especially for high profile
vehicles. Motorists should be alert for sudden gusts of wind...
especially on bridges... which may cause you to lose control of
your vehicle. Use extra caution.
