| Now showers and storms developing over western Florida...will move from west to east again today.... At 10:45 am...Doppler radar imagery out of Melbourne showed scattered showers starting to form around and to the north and northeast of the greater Tampa area. This activity will move east at 10 to 15 mph... and by 2:00 PM will begin to affect east central Florida communities west of greater Orlando. Central and Southern Lake County...western Orange and northwestern Osceola counties will likely feel the initial impacts of this activity. Frequent cloud to ground lightning and torrential rainfall will accompany storms today...and a few could contain hail and high winds. Persons outside today should be on the lookout for threatening weather...particularly approaching from the west. |
