Scattered showers and thunderstorms continued streaming in from the Gulf through Manatee and Sarasota counties...the activity extended north from Brooksville and south down to Venice...and inland through the west half of Polk County and to Arcadia and Wauchula... and offshore 60 miles west of Sarasota. Expect heavy rain...strong gusty winds...and frequent lightning in the strongest storms. The activity was moving east at 20 mph. The most active areas will be from lower Tampa Bay through the Manatee and Sarasota coast.
