Now Through 6 PM...periods of showers and scattered thunderstorms look to track off to the southeast at 20 to 25 mph across the Gulf Coast. Latest radar trends suggest most of the showers will contain light amounts of rain...of less than a tenth of an inch in a one hour period with embedded passing moderate showers depositing around a quarter inch of rain. Any strong storms look to occur on an isolated basis for the remainder of the afternoon. The risk of severe weather is minimal. Radar trends suggest a bulk of the showers and embedded thunderstorms will be out over the Alabama and the western Florida coastal waters through the remainder of the afternoon. |
