Lake Wind Advisory
Statement as of 4:18 am EDT on May 12, 2008

... Lake Wind Advisory in effect until 4 PM EDT this afternoon...

The National Weather Service in Melbourne has issued a lake Wind
Advisory... which is in effect until 4 PM EDT this afternoon.

Brisk west to northwest winds of 20 to 25 mph with higher gusts
will create rough and hazardous boating conditions on area lakes
and the intracoastal waters. This may result in high waves which
may tip or swamp small craft.

Fire Weather Warning
Statement as of 2:26 PM EDT on May 11, 2008

... Red flag warning in effect from 12 PM to 8 PM EDT Monday...

The National Weather Service in Melbourne has issued a red flag
warning... which is in effect from 12 PM to 8 PM EDT Monday. This
replaces the Fire Weather Watch that had been in effect.

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now... or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds... low relative humidity... and warm temperatures will
create explosive fire growth potential.
